About Us

Hard Surface Resolutions is managed by Matthew Hess, an expert in tile and flooring. Mr. Hess grew up in the business, learning from his father who worked in ceramic, marble and glass tile installation.

Matthew Hess has maintained an outstanding reputation advising designers, architects, installers, and clients as to the best solutions for projects. He has worked with some of the same builders for 20 years.

Mr. Hess managed Hess Ceramics and Floor Coverings for ten years and also served as technical support specialist for a major supplier in Connecticut. Matt also became the Surface Operations Manager for this megasupplier.

As an installer, Matthew was highly sought after for installations because of his high standards, professional work ethic and knowledge of hard surface materials and suppliers.

He is certified by The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation.
